The School of Life Australia launched in Melbourne on 26 January 2013 for a pop-up Summer Term, becoming the first international School to open its doors.
Dedicated to distilling the best ideas from the ages to enrich everyday life, The School of Life is the brainchild of writer Alain de Botton. Since its London launch in 2008, more than 70,000 people have taken part in its programs, and its innovative approach to lifelong learning is now globally renowned.
In March 2014, de Botton opened the permanent branch of The School of Life Melbourne at 669 Bourke Street and the Australian operations have now extended to Perth, which hosted a pop-up term in spring 2014 and to Sydney which hosted a pop-up term in Autumn 2016.
