Pope Joan is one of Melbourne’s favourite neighbourhood eateries.  Her daytime doors are open from 7:30am until 4:30pm for breakfast, brunch, lunch and sweet treats 7-days-a-week.

Her nightime doors open from 5:30pm until Wednesday to Friday.  You can still drop in between 4:30pm and 5:30pm for a coffee, a tipple or a nibble. Saturday and Sunday evenings are closed to the masses, but open for private event bookings.

Bookings for the nightime service and weekend private events can be made by calling 03 9388 8858.  The new nightime menu is full of homely food that can be enjoyed a couple of times a week (or every night for the shocking cooks out there).

Pope Joan opened her doors in 2010 and quickly gained a following of papal converts.  The business-baby of Ben Foster and Matt Wilkinson, Pope Joan was blessed with the Best Food Café gong in The Age’s 2013 Good Café Guide as well as three-cup status for 2011 and 2012.

Hams and Bacon, Pope Joan’s produce store, opened earlier this year offering takeaway coffee and sandwiches as well as products from the Pope’s favourite local producers and suppliers.
